Wordful Wednesday: Doing Dishes with Daddy

Wednesday, February 2, 2011

Marlie is in the sensory stage of her development. At her school, she loves to work with water materials (spray bottles, a toddler sink). Her Monterssori guide told us to duplicate these activities at home. So, we brought out the step stool and let her help wash dishes. She is so happy when she is helping out around the house!

She is precious! And I'm sure she is a really good helper around the house too. How cute!

You are better than me - I barely let the 13 year old touch dishes, let alone the 6 or 2 year old! LOL

That is sweet. It is good for them to learn to help out at an early age, the sensory development is great as well. My daughters are now setting and clearing the table and they have so much fun doing it.
