Now that the stress of finding housing has been lifted, I had some time to devote to networking this week. I worked out with my marathon training group, attended my first Mocha Moms playdate at Pixieland Amusement Park (Marlie rode the kiddie roller coaster!), and signed-up for a blogger event for next week.
Toddler Log: 2 Years 51 Weeks Old:
Many of you have been asking about her preschool situation. I visited another preschool on Thursday as a preemptive measure. When I got home there was an email from the director of her current school asking me to call her to talk about how things were going. The conversation was cordial, but emotionally painful. She basically said Marlie was wearing her teachers out. Long story short, they did not have the resources to work with Marlie through her issues (potty strike, nap strike, defiant behavior). We made the mutual decision that her school was not the best fit for Marlie. Meanwhile, I am looking to enroll Marlie at the other school on a part-time basis until she is using the potty/napping again. Marlie is a battleship. It takes a lot of manpower to turn her around. I have my work cut out for me in the coming weeks to get her back on course.

Glad to hear you found a house! Sorry to hear that preschool is not going better. Hopefully, Marlie will settle down once you're moved in and settled. She's had a lot of big changes recently, so it really isn't a surprise that she'd be acting out, though of course is has that extra added Marlie edge to it!
Yay for not being homeless!
I think marlie just needs to fully adjust to this new situation. she'll be back on track soon enough.
go head Desmond! He's getting so big
"fell promptly asleep with a full belly"
Awwwwwwwww....
Glad you all found a house, but you mean to tell me that they've never dealt with a child that had tantrums, nap strike etc?! Hoping that you find a school for Marlie (hugs)
Sorry Marlie is having a hard time.:( Awww, so cute about Mr Magoo!
Yay that you have a home!!! I hope for your sake she does go back to napping but I remember that transition for us. It was patchy, sometimes a nap and often none:(
