Baby Log: Week 37

Sunday, May 9, 2010

My apologies for be scarce lately. I just haven't had the desire to blog this week. I hope this is just a phase like wearing jelly shoes. I dragged my ass to the computer to just compose this post so that I could wish all of you mommies who read this blog a....
Also, I wanted to share the happenings in Marlie's world this week...
  • We started off with the realization that Marlie is bored with all of her toys. She doesn't have many, but the few she does have no longer hold her interest. The only "toy" that she never tires of is the dog.
  • She has been working on her throwing arm, which she exercises by tossing the above mentioned toys out of her crib.
  • She has learned to climb off our bed. She just scoots to the edge and slides right off. She laughs when she gets on the floor like she had performed so magic trick. I half expect her to say ta-da!
  • The best part of the week was receiving our first kisses from Marlie! Yes, she is now giving kisses back. They are more open-mouthed licks, but it's the thought that counts! She is amazing.

a) I had the blogging blahs this week too

b) Marlie needs to teach my son how to climb off the bed properly. At the moment he prefers to dive to the floor headfirst.

c) Baby kisses are the best. My son does the open-mouth suck -- so cute.

Happy Mother's Day beautiful lady!!!

Maybe you just have the Springtime blues caused by the changing of the seasons. Very cute new stuff Marlie is doing. I remember those slobbery kisses. Always made me laugh. I love that she can get off the bed. Children are so amazing.

You mean that you don't wear jelly shoes anymore? :-) There's nothing quite as fun as being french kissed by a baby! At 19 months, V has the whole kissing thing down now, but we had some months of slobber, let me tell you. As much as I love that she likes to give me kisses, I don't miss the slobber.

Jelly shoes - HA! I had a few good pairs for those bad boys!!

Ms. Marlie is blossoming beautifully by the sound of things. I love that scoot-off-the-bed stage. If she says ta-dah, you'd probably faint, but don't forget to blog about it when you wake up from unconsciousness, okay? *smiles*

Happy (Belated) Mother's Day to you too!

I think Lewis's favorite toys are things that aren't even toys. A snack package wrapper...a wooden spoon...a soda can...paper towels. Why do I bother buying brightly colored plastic things LOL!

I'm waiting for a kiss. Lewis happily receives but won't give yet. I keep asking though!

HEEEEY! I LOVED wearing my jelly shoes way back in the day! Although, for the life of me, I can't remember why! :0)

Little Miss Marlie is really, really growing and it is hard to believe she will be a year old in 3 short months! I told you the time was gonna fly. *sniff, sniff*

Well, I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.
