Mid-Week Pick Me Up

Wednesday, November 11, 2009

I've been feeling a little down this past week with what my husband affectionately calls general malaise. Don't worry, I have already scheduled an appointment with my pastoral care counselor to make sure it doesn't become full-blown depression. Still, there is no better therapy than a friend who knows how to cheer you up.

This Friendship Award from The Redhead Riter
came just in the nick of time to remind me that there are people who care about me and that I'm never alone. "This award is bestowed on to blogs that are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to six bloggers who must choose six more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award." I'm going to give this award to these women and tell you why the deserve it (my own personal touch):

Akilah@ Execumamas, I hear ya! (for reassuring me during my new mommy freak-outs)
Jen @ Jael Custom Designs (for showing me that you can have it all, a family, career...a life)
Kim @ What's That Smell (for always leaving me comment luv with insight)
Stesha @ Hot Chocolate Caramel Mocha (for making me laugh with her posts)
Teresa @ ♥ Too Many Heartbeats ♥
(for reminding me to see the silver lining)
...last, but not least, The Redhead Riter (back at ya, babe!)

...and I would be remiss if I didn't thank Betty at Cut and Dry for my second Superior Scribbler Award!

Thanks, Teresha! Puhleaase! Apparently, you've been hiding them from me, b/c I haven't seen a true freak-out yet! When you cry frantically, and tell your husband to "take the child and do what's best because you're clearly not a good mom" (like I did when I accidentally cut Marley's finger when trying to clip her nails for the first time), then you can call it a bona fide "freak out"! :)
