Like all of you, I have been following the news about the devastating aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti, the desperate condition of the survivors, and the relief efforts. I have been wracking my brain with the question, How can I help? I'm not a wealthy philanthropist, I'm not a doctor, I'm not a celebrity...but what I am is a blogger. I can spread the word!

So, I am dedicating today's post, in honor of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday (A Day On, Not a Day Off!), to shining the spotlight on bloggers and organizations doing their part to assist Haiti:

The first question which the priest and the Levite asked was: "If I stop to help this man, what will happen to me?" But... the good Samaritan reversed the question: "If I do not stop to help this man, what will happen to him?"

My friend has two children she's adopting from Haiti. Their orphanage crumbled, they have no water and they're being looted. Praying they pass emergency visas so she bring her babies home. :(

Great post. Thanks for spreading the word.

Last night I watched a show about Haiti and they actually showed the piles of dead bodies. I was in tears. We really have no idea what devastation is until we have gone through it ourselves.

We are so blessed to have all that we do here in the United States. And it is important that we do our part to help no matter if it is financially, through spreading the word like you are doing, or even just prayers.

God bless Haiti. Bring help , healing, and hope to their land.

What a great idea!

I so fortunate to live in Canada where the worst was a small tornado last year...first ever! Besides snow storms that is!

God Bless the familys in Haiti!

I am constantly thinking about Haiti. I wish we could go over there and help out. I keep them in my prayers though.

I can't get Haiti off my mind. I hope the world continues to do whatever it takes to alleviate the suffering.

Dr. King's words resonate strongly.
